Water Safety Aide Certification

Tayler Tesch, daughter of Tyler and Tiffany Tesch, of Wausau, has recently completed the Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Aide Certification at the Marathon Area Swim Association.

To complete this certification candidates need to complete more than 25 hours of volunteer work assisting swim instructors with students 3 years of age and older. WSI-Aide candidates must be at least 11 years old, have completed any Level 6 of the A.R.C. Progressive Swim Program and completed the orientation before beginning their volunteer hours.

Thank you Tayler for taking the time to complete this program and offering your help to the students in our swim lessons as they continue to learn swimming skills and water safety.

WSI AIDE CERTIFICATION AWARDED TO AREA YOUTH

Arabella Bayer, daughter of Joshua and Hilary Bayer of Wausau, recently completed the Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Aide Certification at the Marathon Area Swim Center.

When a student, 11 years of age or older has a love for the water and completes all the American Red Cross swim levels offered at MASA they can begin the aide program. This program offers them the opportunity to share that love with others taking swim lessons.

To fulfill the requirements for the certification Arabella had to complete a Level 6 of the American Red Cross Swim Program, in addition to an orientation before beginning over 25 hours of volunteer work helping teach swim lessons.

Way to go Arabella!!
