WAATS Western Army National Guard Training Site The mission of the WAATS includes enlisted training, aircraft qualification courses and instructor pilot courses.

The National Guard Bureau extended federal recognition to the Western Army National Guard Aviation Training Site (WAATS) on 1 October 1986.
