Meet more of the incredible women joining us for the first-ever Tri-State Women Warriors Women Veterans Conference!

Gentle Yoga with Live Acoustic Music

We’re excited to introduce Katie Riggs, who will guide attendees through a gentle yoga session accompanied by live acoustic music from Joie Wails, designed to encourage relaxation, mindful movement, and a calming reset.

Katie discovered yoga in 2021 and quickly knew it would become an important part of her life. She became a 200-hour certified yoga instructor in 2022 and added her Yoga Sculpt certification in 2023. Today, she teaches at Soul Revolution Yoga & Cycling in Dubuque—and still spends plenty of her own free time on the mat as a student.

With Joie providing live acoustic accompaniment, attendees will have an opportunity to slow down, move with intention, and experience the combination of gentle movement and music. No need to be a yoga expert—just come as you are and give yourself some space to reset. 💛

This conference is about bringing women veterans and service members together for a day of connection, resources, real conversations, learning, and fun, too.

The Jackson County Veterans Affairs office will be closed at noon on Friday, September 4th and will be closed all day on September 7th for Labor Day. We will open again at 8:30 am on September 8th for our regular hours!

Led by Army Veteran David Lange and supported by the Nick Bower Memorial Fund, this free, peer-led group is specifically designed for Veterans with lived experiences to enhance community and build a solid support network.
