Tough loss for the Marquette Defenders tonight. The final score didn't really reflect how much of a battle the game was all night. Hold your heads high though, because there are so many young men that would have loved to have made it as far as you guys did! Show your opponents their due respect, because they especially know how tough it was to get to this level--three years in a row!!! Remember Theodore Roosevelt's "Man in the Arena" speech! Get back in the ring and get even batter and stronger next year!!! GRIT!

Awesome semi finals win, Defenders! Last game. ALL IN like you've got nothing to lose!!!!

Heartbreaker of a loss for the Bellevue Comets at the state 1A quarterfinals against Burlington Notre Dame. The boys made an impressive push in the 3rd quarter, but unfortunately they just couldn't quite get ahead in the end. Hold your heads high because your community is still very proud of you! Respect your opponent's talents, and then come back stronger next time. Let's all show our class, character, and maturity by throwing all our support behind the Marquette boys (your friends) as they fight to stay in the battle tonight. Two teams, one community! Go Bellevue!!

Sheriff Kilburg and the Jackson County Sheriff's Office are partnering with Amazon this holiday season to help local families protect their packages from theft. While this isn’t a unique issue to Amazon, package theft continues to be a concern. We want to raise awareness on proactive measures you can take to help prevent porch pirates.
KEEPING YOUR PACKAGES SAFE – In partnership with Amazon, we recommend these effective strategies to prevent package theft:
1.Track your packages in real time using Amazon's Map Tracking feature on Amazon.com or through the Amazon app to know exactly when deliveries will arrive.
2.Specify a hidden drop-off location to keep packages out of view by providing delivery instructions through the Amazon app or website.
3.More than 25,000 package pickup locations are available to customers, allowing them to conveniently choose how and where their items arrive–whether at home, work, Amazon or a partner location.
4.Amazon Share Tracking allows you to share tracking details with friends and family so they can pick up your package for you if you’re not home.
5.Check delivery confirmation photos provided by Amazon to verify where packages were placed.
6.Same-Day Delivery customers can choose the delivery window that works best for them in select areas where the option is available.
