Today is National Nurses Day, marking the beginning of National Nurses Week.

Maple Heights Fire Department would like to recognize and thank nurses everywhere for the care, compassion, skill, and professionalism they provide every day.

While our crews work closely with emergency department nurses during patient handoffs and emergency care, we also recognize the countless nurses serving in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, schools, home health, specialty offices, rehabilitation facilities, and many other settings throughout healthcare.

Thank you for what you do for our patients and our community each and every day.

March is American Red Cross Month, and we want to recognize our strong partnership with the American Red Cross of Northeast Ohio.

When families in our community are displaced by fire, Red Cross volunteers are there to provide shelter, clothing, food, and support during some of the most difficult moments people face.

We also proudly partner with the Red Cross on smoke alarm installation programs, helping prevent fires and make homes safer throughout our community.

We are grateful for the dedication of Red Cross volunteers and the support they provide to our residents when they need it most.
