Cop Camp: Day 4! 🚔

Today, our cadets put their observation and critical-thinking skills to the test! Upper Dublin Police detectives taught them how crimes are investigated, what qualifies as evidence, and how a crime scene is carefully processed.

After rotating through four hands-on investigation stations, the cadets unexpectedly witnessed a “crime” of their own, and had to use what they learned to help solve it!

The rain moved some of the fun indoors, where the cadets faced off in several intense dodgeball games before enjoying a pizza lunch. They then experienced the courtroom side of the justice system through an informative mock trial featuring a real assistant district attorney and judge. After hearing the case, the jury returned a guilty verdict on all counts!

A special thank-you to Assistant District Attorney Jediah Grobstein from the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office and the Honorable Judge Douglas Lavenberg from the Montgomery County District Court for sharing their time and expertise with our cadets!

Day 4 was filled with investigation, friendly competition, teamwork, and plenty of hands-on learning. One more exciting day to go! 💙

Cop Camp: Day 3! 🚔

It was a hot one, but our cadets didn’t let the heat slow them down! Day 3 brought even more hands-on learning, exciting demonstrations, and teamwork.

Cadets met K9 Maximus and Officer Snyder from the Upper Moreland Police Department, along with K9 Shadow and Officer Jones from the Abington Township Police Dept., PA. Since today is , we felt especially lucky to spend it learning from and getting to know two of the very best K9s! 🐾💙

They also learned how drones support police operations and welcomed members of the Montgomery County SWAT Team – East for a special demonstration.

During “Dispatch Down the Lane,” our law-enforcement version of Whisper Down the Lane, cadets discovered just how important active listening and clear communication are in police work.

They also continued working hard on their marching and cadence—and we can’t wait for their families to see how far they’ve come at Friday’s graduation! 💙

Cop Camp: Day 2! 🚔

Our cadets had another jam-packed day filled with hands-on learning, teamwork, and plenty of excitement!

They learned about traffic stops, use of force, and gun safety before welcoming the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Bomb and Hazardous Device Disposal Unit. A definite highlight was meeting Spot, the Unit’s robotic dog!

The cadets also continued practicing their marching, cadence, and obstacle course skills. At our morning meeting, one cadet from each squad was promoted to Corporal, and one cadet from each squad was selected as a flag bearer. Congratulations to all of the cadets chosen for these important leadership roles!

We’re proud of the discipline, responsibility, and teamwork our cadets continue to demonstrate—and we still have plenty more ahead! 💙

Cop Camp: Day 1! 🚔

And we’re off! Our cadets had a busy first day of Cop Camp learning about law enforcement and putting some of the week’s biggest themes into action: discipline, respect, responsibility, communication, and teamwork.
After joining their squads (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta) cadets got an inside look at our police station and operations, checked out the Bike Unit, tackled obstacle course practice, and learned the basics of marching and cadence.

A special shout out and THANK YOU to Kona Ice King of Prussia for stopping by and treating our cadets to a cool afternoon treat. It was the perfect way to wrap up a busy day!

It was a great first day filled with learning, teamwork, new experiences, and plenty of fun. We’re just getting started! 💙
