For the last 10 days we have had the privilege of being a part of the Jesus Jesus Jesus - Jesus Citywide and Aerial Illuminations Drone Light Shows.

We made new friends, the team was challenged with record breaking attendance, some rain, and a few late nights and early mornings.

However, we grew, we worked through it, and it took every single one of us.

A special shout out to City of Lake Jackson - Government for letting us borrow your amazing barricades, Brazoria County Sheriff's Office for the command trailer and staff to support us, Galveston Police Department for letting Meagan and Rex come hang out with us and the US National Weather Service Houston-Galveston Texas who tried to keep us sane through the weather with multiple calls and emails!

It takes a village in Emergency Management and we are humbled and blessed to stand beside so many men and women.

Now it is time for some sleep!

Today, our team was recognized in Fort Bend County Commissioners Court for their dedication and unwavering commitment to service during the recent winter storm.

Ms. Tristian Drascula, Mr. Patrick Hernandez, and Ms. Catharine Gray did not hesitate to spring into action when neighboring communities needed support. During a critical time, they stepped up to help deliver meals and ensure families had access to essential resources.

Their willingness to serve beyond our city limits reflects the very heart of emergency management — collaboration, compassion, and community.

We are incredibly proud of these outstanding staff members. They are passionate, humble, and deeply dedicated to serving not only our community, but others in need as well.

Please join us in congratulating them on this well-deserved recognition! 👏

📡 Stronger Signals. Stronger Community. 📡

Huge shoutout to David Lira for partnering with Manvel OEM to bring a HAM radio system into our emergency communications toolbox! 💪

Tonight, David is speaking with the Brazoria County ARES crew about how we’re working together to build a more resilient, connected community—because when the lights go out and cell towers go quiet, good people + good planning still get the message through.

This is what preparedness looks like:
🤝 Partnerships
📻 Redundant communications
🏘️ A community that shows up for each other

We’re grateful for the passion, expertise, and teamwork behind the scenes to make Manvel stronger—on the air and on the ground.
