Manton Lady Rangers tonight, you left it all on the court in a hard-fought matchup against a strong Calumet team. Despite the tough loss, you ladies showed resilience, teamwork, and determination from start to finish.

Every game is an opportunity to grow, and tonight was no exception. The effort, heart, and dedication you young athletes display is something to be proud of. The season isn’t defined by one game—it’s about the journey, the lessons learned, and the commitment to improving every day.

Keep your heads high, Lady Rangers! The work continues, and we’re proud to stand behind you.

September 11, 2001:
A Day We Will Never Forget

Today, we pause to honor the memory of those who lost their lives in the tragedy of 9/11. On this day 23 years ago, our nation faced an unimaginable attack, but we also witnessed acts of unparalleled heroism. Thousands of innocent lives were lost, and the bravery of first responders—firefighters, paramedics, police officers, and ordinary citizens—shone through as they risked everything to save others.

The impact of 9/11 continues to shape America. It reminds us of the resilience, unity, and strength we possess as a people. The event profoundly changed our national consciousness, reaffirming our values of freedom, community, and hope, while also reshaping our approach to security and emergency response.

For emergency services, 9/11 stands as a defining moment—one that highlighted the critical role first responders play in times of crisis. The legacy of those who responded that day continues to inspire and inform how we train, prepare, and respond to emergencies nationwide.

Today, we honor the lives lost, the heroes who responded, and the spirit of unity that brought our nation together. May we never forget the lessons of 9/11, and may we continue to honor those who gave everything to protect and serve.

In every community, whether urban, suburban, rural, or super-rural, the first few minutes after an emergency can make all the difference. With ambulances and prehospital providers often spread thin, especially in more remote areas like ours, programs like NAEMT’s First On The Scene are crucial. These initiatives equip everyday citizens with life-saving skills, empowering them to step in and make a difference before professional help arrives.

We urge everyone in the Manton area to consider finding and attending programs like this. By becoming First On The Scene, you can play a vital role in our community's safety and well-being. Together, we can ensure that no matter where we live, we're prepared to help when it matters most.

FREE COMMUNITY EVENT!

Please join us on September 12, 2024, from 6pm-10pm, in Manton, MI for our "First on the Scene" course! This course will teach you several things, including Hands-Only CPR, using an AED, administering an EPI pen and Narcan, and more! To register, please email Melissa at [email protected] or message us here. Seating is limited.
