These dogs were picked up as strays. We are currently looking for their owners. If you have any owner information please call the shelter at (209)456-8270 we are open Tuesday-Saturday 10a-4p. If no owner comes forward, they will be available for adoption/rescue on 09/10.

Chopper has been waiting 71 days for someone to choose him. 💙

Chopper is a 3-year-old Pit Bull who has had no adoption interest since arriving at the shelter on June 10th. He was even microchipped, but unfortunately, his owner never came forward to reclaim him.

And honestly? We don’t understand how this sweet boy is still waiting.

Chopper is a confident, affectionate cuddle bug who loves his people. He’s food motivated and eager to learn, making him a great candidate for training. He even participated in this year’s Shelter Olympics! 🏆

He does well with other dogs with proper introductions and would love a home where he can finally be someone’s beloved companion.

July at Manteca Animal Services 🐾

July was another busy month for our Animal Services team. Here’s a look at what we accomplished while serving the animals and residents of our community:

• 124 animals impounded
• 52 animals adopted
• 17 animals reunited with their owners
• 26 animals transferred to rescue
• 238 calls for service handled
• 52 new government outreach cases
• 7 notices to appear
• 1 administrative citation
• 3 cruelty cases
• 10 dog bite cases

Each number represents an animal, a family, or a situation that required our attention and assistance. We are proud of the work our team continues to do every day to protect animals, reunite pets with their families, support responsible ownership, and serve the Manteca community.

Judge is a 5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd who has had a rough start to life, but he hasn’t let it change his sweet nature. ❤️

He was found wandering the streets of Manteca, underweight and dragging a large chain. Despite everything he’s been through, Judge is a gentle giant who deserves nothing but love, comfort, and a family of his own.

He does well with other dogs with proper introductions and would absolutely love a cozy bed to call his own. 🥹🛏️

Judge has waited long enough for the good life. Could you be the person who finally gives it to him? 🏡🐶

🐾 LONG-TERM RESIDENTS: Adoption fees are WAIVED
🐾 NON-LONG-TERM RESIDENT DOGS: $100
🐾 CATS: $40

EVERY ADOPTION INCLUDES:
✔️ Vaccinations
✔️ Spay/neuter
✔️ Microchip
