Crews were dispatched this evening to I71 southbound near the 166mm for tire on fire on a semi. Upon arrival no fire was seen. Our crews used a water can and foam to ensure the fire was out.

It was a good day for some additional training. Members from different departments came together today for some hands on training. Thank you to the Jefferson Township Bellville Fire Department- Station 120 for hosting and organizing the OFA Pump Operations class. This was a free class provided by the Ohio Fire Academy to fire departments in our area.

Crews provided mutual aid with Troy Twp tonight for a one vehicle accident on I71. One patient was transported.

Road Closed signs means the ROAD IS CLOSED. Do not attempt to get through the area. Our personnel were dispatched this morning to this incident. Luckily there were no ODOT workers on site yet.

Around 7:30 pm crews were dispatched to I71 in the area of the 165 mm for a U-Haul vs turkey. One occupant was transported with minor injuries.

Sadly the turkey didn’t make it…
