Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men of law enforcement who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the citizens of Christian County.

These fallen officers answered the call without hesitation, placing duty above all else and standing as a shield between danger and the community they swore to protect. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment will never be forgotten.

We remember their names. We honor their service. We carry forward their legacy.

Our prayers are also with the injured deputies and their families as well as the departments who were assisting in this awful tragedy.

Please join us in keeping their families, friends, and fellow officers in your thoughts and prayers. Their sacrifice will forever remain a part of their department’s history and their community’s heart.

!! Juvenile located safe!! Want to say thanks to Wright County Sheriffs Office for the help.

Runaway juvenile! Roughly 15 years old, last seen this morning at Casey's in Mansfield at 11 this morning. If seen please contact authorities.

UPDATE!!! Juvenile is in custody.

Be on the lookout for a male juvenile. He is possibly looking for a ride to springfield. He has been known to be violent and has mental health issues. He is roughly 5'10 and approximately 175lbs. He was last seen wearing a white tshirt and black jogger pants. He has a scar on his left wrist. If you see him, do not approach him.

In Memory of Retired Chief Dale McGaw

The Mansfield Police department is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Retired Chief, Dale McGaw. Chief McGaw faithfully served the citizens of Mansfield and this department with honor integrity and dedication throughout his distinguished career.
Under his leadership, the department made lasting strides in community relations, officer development and public safety. His commitment to serve and his example of professionalism continue to inspire those who wear the badge today.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Chief McGaw's family, friends and all who had the privilege of serving alongside him.
Rest in peace Chief. Your legacy lives on in Mansfield Police Department.
