Thank you to everyone who came out to our Field of Honor event on 9/11! We started with Kiwanian Bob Miller welcoming the crowd and reading the dedications on the flags. Rev. El Akuchie gave an inspiring invocation, then the Richland County Honor Guard presented the colors while Morgyn Beasley sang the national anthem. We heard from Mansfield Mayor Jodie Perry and Colonel Jack W. Johnson from the Air National Guard. Our keynote speaker, Doug Theaker, gave a moving tribute to those who have served, those we’ve lost, all military personal, police, fire, and all our first responders. Douglas Keppler wrapped things up with a bagpipe performance. #

Kiwanis club members assembled 400 American Flags in preparation of our Field of Honor to be displayed at The Agrea Agency on Aging field, Park Ave and Lex-Springmill rd! We already had 100 flags ready, so the display will be 500 full-size American Flags! Join us for the moving ceremony on Friday, Sept. 11th at noon! Food trucks begin at 11am!
