🎓 Congratulations to Senior Kelsey O'Connor, recipient of the 2026 MESA Leadership & Service Scholarship! 🎓

Last week, MESA was proud to award Kelsey our annual Leadership & Service Scholarship, which helps offset the cost of college for a graduating senior who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to serving their school and community.

Kelsey, thank you for the positive impact you have made on our students, families, and community. We are incredibly grateful for your years of service and know you will continue to do great things in this next chapter. And of course, when a Olivia Bieke heard that Kelsey was chosen, she just HAD to be there to give her the award since she is one of her favorite CHAMPS counselors! Such a full circle moment!

MESA's final Board meeting of the 2025-2026 school year is in the books!

Last night, outgoing and incoming Board members came together to reflect on an incredible year and look ahead to what's next. We discussed the budget and brainstormed new ways to strengthen our school community and continue building the village that supports our students, families, and staff.

A heartfelt thank you to Melissa Gordy, Corinne Brems, Krystyn Haskell, Alma Richeh, and Bethany Dionne for their dedication and countless hours of service over the past several years. Your contributions have helped make MESA what it is today, and we are so grateful for all you have done. We won’t let you go far though!

We're also excited to welcome the 2026-2027 MESA Board and look forward to another year of connection, enrichment, support, and community!

🎓 Congratulations to our 5th Graders! 🎓

Today we celebrate the J/J 5th graders as they mark the end of their elementary school journey and get ready for their next adventure in middle school!

MESA was excited to help make the day a little extra special with balloons and signs to cheer them on as they walk into this exciting new chapter.

A special thank you goes out to all of the 5th grade MESA families. Whether you volunteered at an event, donated, attended meetings, or simply cheered us on, your support helped create so many memorable experiences for our students throughout their elementary years.

Also, thank you to Kelli-Beth, Janie and Lauren for sweating it out and getting the balloons and signs in the ground before the celebration began, but not before the heat and humidity! We are SO grateful for you!

Kindergarten Families: Field Day Forecast! We are looking ahead and ultimately, we need to be prepared for the rain coming in. How can you help? We *need* to fill the raindate volunteer slots and cannot wait until last minute. Why? Because simply put, ensuring everyone has an updated CORI on file takes time when there are that many volunteers. Let's get that raindate secured so IF we have to move Field Day the kids know there is a backup plan that is already in place!
