Tomorrow belongs to our KINDERGARTENERS. ✏️🐝

A whole new crew of little Hornets will walk through the Robinson doors for the very first time — backpacks on, brave faces ready, leaving behind a group of grown-ups trying very hard to keep it together. 🥹

Some kiddos are SO ready. Some are nervous. Some are a little bit of both. (We call that ’scited over here!)

So a BIG MESA shoutout to every family sending a kindergartener off tomorrow. 💛

Here’s to brave first steps, new friends, kind teachers, big adventures and the start of something really special.

You’ve got this, little Hornets.
And grown-ups…you’ve got this too.

OH EM GEEEE.....Tomorrow is the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL for our 1st graders and up! ✏️🍎💛

Some kids are SO ready. Some are nervous.
Some grown-ups are counting down the minutes. Some are hanging onto every last second of summer

There are a lot of feelings tonight — and all of them are okay.

So as we head into tomorrow, here’s our MESA reminder:

Look for the kid — or the grown-up — who might need a smile, a hello or someone to stand beside them.

At drop-off. At pick-up. At the bus stop. At lunch. At recess.

This is where community starts.For our kids AND our grown ups.

We are here to build it — by being kind, making room for each other and helping every student, staff member and family feel like they belong.

Whether these halls already feel like home or tomorrow is your very first walk through the doors, we’re so glad you’re here.

Let’s make it the BEST year yet!! GOOOOO HORNETS!!!!!

☀️ We are **NOT** wishing summer away. We repeat: **NOT WISHING SUMMER AWAY.**

Buuuuut… now that classroom assignments are out it is hard to deny that.....it’s almost time. 👀🎒

The backpacks are lurking. The school supplies are multiplying. And before we know it, the halls at J/J and Robinson will be buzzing again!

As we start gearing up for another great year, help us make sure all of our **new and returning JJ + Robinson families** know where to find us!

👉 **Share the MESA page with a friend, neighbor, new family, bus stop buddy… you know the drill!** The more families we have here, the more connected (and fun!) our school community can be.

Enjoy those last sweet days of summer… we’ll be right here, getting ready. 😉✨

Another school year is in the books!!!

We achieved a lot this year...and we couldn't have done it without each of you.

Thank you to everyone who donated their precious time and hard-earned money to help our kiddos make lasting memories!

🎓 Congratulations to Senior Kelsey O'Connor, recipient of the 2026 MESA Leadership & Service Scholarship! 🎓

Last week, MESA was proud to award Kelsey our annual Leadership & Service Scholarship, which helps offset the cost of college for a graduating senior who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to serving their school and community.

Kelsey, thank you for the positive impact you have made on our students, families, and community. We are incredibly grateful for your years of service and know you will continue to do great things in this next chapter. And of course, when a Olivia Bieke heard that Kelsey was chosen, she just HAD to be there to give her the award since she is one of her favorite CHAMPS counselors! Such a full circle moment!

MESA's final Board meeting of the 2025-2026 school year is in the books!

Last night, outgoing and incoming Board members came together to reflect on an incredible year and look ahead to what's next. We discussed the budget and brainstormed new ways to strengthen our school community and continue building the village that supports our students, families, and staff.

A heartfelt thank you to Melissa Gordy, Corinne Brems, Krystyn Haskell, Alma Richeh, and Bethany Dionne for their dedication and countless hours of service over the past several years. Your contributions have helped make MESA what it is today, and we are so grateful for all you have done. We won’t let you go far though!

We're also excited to welcome the 2026-2027 MESA Board and look forward to another year of connection, enrichment, support, and community!
