While most of the attention is on the field, there is a lot happening behind the scenes here in North Texas.

Mansfield officers have been working alongside neighboring agencies and security teams to help support Team Czechia during their stay here in North Texas. Coordinating daily operations is a true team effort focused on safety, communication and keeping things running smoothly.

We are grateful for the strong partnerships across agencies and proud of the work our officers, such as our Motors Unit, are doing to represent Mansfield well.

We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to Walmart for helping us start the week off strong with their generous donation of food and drinks to our department!

Community is important and the way people consistently show up and support one another is a big part of what makes Mansfield such a great place. We’re so thankful for the continued support from our community. It really does make a difference and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Help us get local students ready for a successful school year!

The Mansfield Police Department is now accepting donations of school supplies and non-perishable snacks for our Cruise Into the School Year back-to-school event.

CONGRATULATIONS CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY CLASS #36!!!

Thank you for joining us on this 10 week adventure and thank you to those who signed up to continue that adventure and be volunteers!

Over the past 10 weeks, you have learned about traffic stops, death investigations, crime scene protocols, building searches, CRASE, and Dispatch. You also got to meet the phenomenal officers on our Crisis Negotiations Unit, our SWAT Team, our K9 Unit, and our Drone Unit. We are so proud of all of your hard work and we are so grateful for your enthusiastic participation ❤️

Due to a truck backing into an Oncor pole at the intersection of E Broad St and Sycamore St, we have the westbound lanes of E Broad down to one lane. We’ve blocked off one lane for safety, and Oncor has reported a 5 hour working window to have the pole back up.

Last year, Mansfield placed 4th in the State of Texas for our population category. This year, we’re aiming even higher, and we want you to be part of it!

🗓 Tuesday, October 6, 2026
⏰ 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

National Night Out is an opportunity to bring neighbors together, strengthen police-community partnerships, and show that our neighborhoods are united in preventing crime. The more we know each other, the stronger and safer our community becomes.

🚨 Community Awareness Alert 🚨

The Mansfield Police Department would like to make our community aware of a recent trend involving individuals soliciting donations at local shopping centers.

We have received reports of young individuals (teens to early 20s) approaching shoppers outside stores such as Target, Walmart, and Ross, claiming to be raising money for sports teams (basketball, football, etc.) for uniforms or other expenses.

Officers have made contact with several of these individuals and determined they were not affiliated with any legitimate team or organization. In these cases, the money collected was being directed to personal bank accounts.

We understand that Mansfield is a generous and supportive community, and we appreciate your willingness to give. However, we encourage everyone to be cautious when approached for donations in public places.

💡 Tips for Giving Safely:
• Ask for official documentation or proof of affiliation
• Donate directly to verified schools, teams, or organizations
• Be cautious of individuals requesting money without adult supervision (parent, coach etc.)
• Be cautious of individuals requesting money outside of a business without knowledge/consent of the business
• Be cautious of individuals requesting money through personal payment apps
• When in doubt, it’s okay to politely decline

⚠️ If you observe suspicious activity:
Please do not confront the individuals. Instead, contact our non-emergency number at 817-473-0211. In an emergency, call 9-1-1.

Let’s continue to look out for one another and keep our community safe.
