Today we are proud to celebrate the graduation of Officer James Barclay from the police academy.
Officer Barclay joins the Mansfield Police Department after 23 years of service in the United States Army. During his military career, he served as an infantryman and deployed four times, conducting missions that included convoy security, mounted and dismounted patrols, personnel security detail, peacekeeping, and counterinsurgency operations. He also spent the final six years of his Army career serving as a recruiter right here in Mansfield.
While in the academy, Officer Barclay was selected as Class Leader, a reflection of the leadership, dedication, and experience he brings to our department. We are highly impressed with his background and are excited for the positive impact he will have on our community.
It was clear yesterday that family is incredibly important to Officer Barclay, which makes us even more excited to have him join the Mansfield Police Department family.
Please join us in welcoming Officer Barclay and his family to the Mansfield Police Department family.
