In April of 2025, Tri County ATTF was informed there was a stolen excavator and Polaris ATV that were recovered from an address in Alvarado, TX. In May of 2025, two males were found to be occupying a VIN switched stolen 2023 Dodge Ram 3500. The vehicle was recovered. Also in May of 2025, the Task Force was notified of a possible VIN switched Chev Corvette. Irving PD provided information that they obtained from an associate of the suspect that had been identified. The associate identified an associated address that Tri County ATTF had also identified. Tri County ATTF investigated and discovered possible VIN switched vehicles registered to the resident of the Alvarado, TX address. On 03/31/26 Tri County ATTF Investigators conducted traffic stops on 2 vehicles registered to the resident. One of the vehicles was a 2024 Chev Malibu that was VIN switched and had not yet been reported stolen by Hertz rental due to them being unaware it had not been returned. The vehicle was gifted by the suspect to a family member who was operating the vehicle at the time of the stop. A second vehicle, a 2021 Chev 2500HD pickup, was stopped and found to be a VIN switched stolen that was sold to a neighbor. The suspect arrived on scene at one of the traffic stops. A search warrant of his residence was conducted by Tri County ATTF and Midlothian PD. Investigators located the 2015 Chev Corvette Stingray stored in a garage. Investigators also located a 2022 GMC Denali 2500HD that was also VIN switched.
🔥The suspect was arrested and charged with multiple felonies.
🔥The four vehicles recovered had an approximate value; $165,600
🔥Investigators have identified multiple subjects involved. The investigation is ongoing.
A huge thanks to Midlothian PD, NICB, and Johnson County SO for assisting with information on the residence, the search of the location, and the apprehension of the suspect. ***$255,000 RECOVERY***

A dealership in Utah purchased a white Audi RSQ8 from a dealership in California. The Audi was picked up by a transport company but never made it to Utah. The dealership in California had placed an additional tracking device on the vehicle. When the vehicle didn't arrive in Utah, they began tracking the vehicle. The active track on the vehicle showed the location to be in the Mansfield/Kennedale area. Task Force Investigators responded to the location, obtained a search warrant and were able to locate the stolen Audi RSQ8, valued at $165,000. During the search at the location, Investigators also found a stolen BMW X6 xDrive40i valued at $90,000, that was stolen out of Florida. Both vehicles were being prepared to ship to Africa.
