It was my honor to tour Earth Angels Pediatric Day Center, LLC with the Texas Association of Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Centers last week. PPECCs provide life-changing skilled nursing care and development services for medically complex children and their families. Thank you Jeffrey Soffen, Sara DeSantis, and Cassidy Baird for the tour!

What a season for Tarleton State Baseball!

A WAC Championship, the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance as a Division I team, and its first NCAA Regional win in their D-I era. This team proved it belongs on the national stage.

Since 1952, Village Bakery has been serving Czech baked goods and has become a cherished part of Central Texas history. The bakery’s original owners, Georgia and Wendell Montgomery, created the original klobasnik recipe and helped make West a popular destination for visitors from across Texas.

Congratulations to Village Bakery on reopening and preserving a local landmark for future generations to enjoy!

Today, I joined Greg Abbott, Ellen Fleischmann, Sheriff Bill Waybourn, District Attorney Phil Sorrells, the Arlington Police Association and several Legislators for the unveiling of the Governor’s Public Safety Plan for Texas.

During the 88th Legislative Session, I was proud to work alongside Governor Abbott to pass HB 17 to "rein in rogue district attorneys" who adopt blanket non-prosecution policies. But there’s still more work to be done.

Next session, the Texas Legislature must act to pass legislation to deny bail for criminal illegal immigrants, expand the Repeat Offender Task Force, establish a statewide prosecutor, and make rogue DAs impeachable. Keeping our communities safe and upholding the rule of law will always be my top priority.

Right here is another dedicated member of the Mansfield Community! I was proud to recognize Larry Broseh for 24 years of service on the Mansfield City Council, 12+ years of which I served with him.

As the longest-serving council member in Mansfield history, Larry has spent decades working to strengthen our City, as well as water needs for the North Texas region. From serving as Mayor Pro Tem to helping guide major community projects and regional initiatives, his impact on Mansfield will be felt for generations to come.

Thank you Larry for your incredible service to the City of Mansfield. Wishing you, Cindy, and your Family all the best in your next chapter.
