⚠️ A Tornado Watch has been issued for Travis County until 5am

Severe thunderstorms are beginning to move through the Austin area. They will continue into the overnight hours. This storm HAS produced a tornado and large hail. You need to be prepared to take action.

If placed under a Tornado Warning, IMMEDIATELY seek shelter of the lowest floor and innermost location of your home, use blankets/mattress for protection, bring a phone to continue to monitor weather.

You NEED to stay weather aware and have a way to receive alerts overnight. That means turns your ringers on and set to high volume so you can hear alerts. Continue to monitor news or social media for weather updates.

Early this morning several scholars were involved in a collision near N. 973 and E. US HWY 290. At this time the MISD Police Department is working with the Manor Police Department in gathering further details.

The Manor Police Department said the crash happened at approximately 2:09 a.m. Tuesday in the 13200 block of N. FM 973.

The Manor ISD and Manor ISD Police Department send our support and condolences to the Family of Hunter Hartman as well as the Manor Police Department for this tragic loss. 💙🙏🏼💙

It is with heavy hearts and tearful eyes we announce the untimely death of Hunter Hartman, one of our devoted Victim Services Specialist, who died in a motor vehicle collision early this morning. Hunter (27 years old) had recently graduated from Baylor University with her Masters Degree in Social Work. Hunter also achieved a graduate certificate in Advanced International Affairs from the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. Hunter grew up in nearby Bastrop County and graduated from Bastrop High School in 2012.
Hunter was dedicated to a life of service particularly to victims of crime and those experiencing mental health crisis. Hunter served beside our Officers in providing compassionate and caring assistance to our community. Hunter will be missed and the void left behind will be felt in out hearts for years to come.

Please keep us and Hunters family in your thoughts.
