We would like to congratulate our newest officers who have successfully completed the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy! Officer Kyle Cummings (left) and Officer Tityana Evans (right) are both incredible people with a love for policing. We are proud of them both for what they’ve accomplished and the people they are. We wish for them to have a wonderful and safe career!

The Manning Police Department is proud to announce the City of Manning is starting a community assistance program to help locals in need! This program was created from a want to help our community on a deeper level.

We will be collecting several types of items in the hope that we can provide help to locals in need. The items we are collecting are:

- Non-perishable foods
- Jackets, hoodies, sweaters, and shoes
- Blankets
- Hygiene products
- School Supplies
- Bookbags
- Toys

The Manning Police Department also does an annual toy drive that helps provide Christmas gift to local children in need. We will now be collecting for that year-round.

From the Manning Police Department, we would like to give special thanks to everyone who has provided help in getting our community relief program started! This will be a city wide program, run by the Manning Police Department, to help local families in need.

The Manning United Methodist Church has graciously donated a shed, which will store the goods and supplies we collect from the community. In addition, their congregation donated a tremendous amount of non-perishable food, with the plan to continue to collect food every month! They’ve even generously donated many children’s assistance bags, which contain blankets, snacks, hygiene supplies, and even stuffed animals!

We also received a wonderful donation of wood from Manning local Allen Hyman, so we could build shelving inside the shed!

We greatly appreciate everyone who has given us these resources to help strengthen our community!

Congratulations to our very own, Chief Sean Briley, for being voted the 2026 Best of Clarendon Law Enforcement Officer of the Year! We appreciate Chief Briley’s exemplary leadership!

It’s been another productive week for the Manning Police Department.

During recent traffic stops conducted by Officer Watford, approximately 1.5 pounds of ma*****na, nearly 4 grams of methamphetamine and fentanyl, and one firearm were seized. Charges resulting from these stops include Possession with Intent to Distribute Ma*****na, Possession of Fentanyl (3rd Offense), Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine (3rd Offense), and Possession with Intent to Distribute Within Proximity of a School/Park. We want to thank Officer Watford for his dedication and hard work in keeping our community safe.

In addition, within the same week, the Manning Police Department responded to two burglary cases. Both cases were quickly investigated and solved by our Detective Division, resulting in arrests already being made. We extend our appreciation to Detective Ragin and Detective McArthur for their swift and thorough work.

Our officers continue to serve and protect our community with professionalism and commitment every day. We are grateful for their service and for the continued support of our community. As always - if you see something, say something.
