The Marines Hymn "we have fought in every clime and place" our individual and unit training reflects that. As a younger Marine stationed in Hawaii my unit conducted operations in the desert, the jungles of Japan and on the snow capped mountains of the pacific northwest. All of this is to prepare ourselves to be ready to answer our nation's call wherever and whenever that may be.

Gas! Gas! Gas!

Recruits gain confidence & resilience as soon as they enter the gas chamber for CBRN (chemical, biological, radioactive, and nuclear) defense training. The potent effects of the CS gas hit almost immediately, and recruits endure it to become accustomed to its intensity.

Do you have the confidence to withstand the gas chamber?

For Marines, the call to serve never truly goes away. Long after active duty, their commitment continues, positively impacting communities across our Nation. That is the meaning of Semper Fidelis. Always Faithful. Always Marine.

It is the mindset of a Marine that stands apart. An uncommon willingness to fight and an unfaltering focus on winning. This mindset keeps the promise in our mandate. To be the force that is most ready when the Nation is least ready. To be prepared for anything by training for everything. To overcome every obstacle in front of us, with a fighting spirit that propels us.
