One of the best thing about a partnership is knowing that we've got each other's backs - we always know that South Central MN Food Recovery will take any over abundance of produce we may have and use it to make delicious healthy meals for those who need them.
But we are also here for SCMNFR when they need us! This morning they dropped off a load of lettuce that had begun to turn and so couldn't be used by them.
We took it all off their hands!
All the lettuce was added to our compost pile!
All the clam shell cases will be washed and reused when we donate produce!
All the boxes will be reused as well, if not for produce donation, they will be flattened and used to over pathways to keep the weeds at bay!
A big thank you to SCMNFR for working with us to ensure that nothing goes to waste!
