DFL State Convention! Proud to join over 1200 delegates in Rochester for a weekend of coming together as democrats. We debated policy (boy, did we), organized, and endorsed our excellent slate of statewide candidates including Amy Klobuchar for Governor.

It was my honor to address the full convention alongside my brothers and sisters in the Senate DFL caucus and share our record, priorities, and plans for the campaign. Thank you for that opportunity.

Filing Day! Proud to file my Affidavit of Candidacy with the Secretary of State’s office. This is the formal notice to the state for my name to be on the ballot in November. Also thrilled to be joined there by so many great DFL Senate candidates and our campaign staff from around the state.

And as is my tradition on filing day, I wore my Minnesota State University, Mankato Maverick hockey jersey. Game on.

The 27th Annual DFL Burton Dinner was a hit last night at the MSU Mankato Ballroom! We welcomed democrats from around the state, including our candidates for Auditor, U.S. Senate, Congress, state legislative seats and a whole lot more. Glad to see Mankato’s own Tim and Gwen Walz there to receive an award greet SO many good friends and neighbors. Democrat enthusiasm has been on full display this weekend! Most conventions are seeing an increase of delegates of between 100-300% when compared to 2022.

In my role as DFL Senate campaign chair I went to three state senate endorsing conventions this weekend. All of them were fantastic. Started in Bloomington at SD51 where Simon Trautmann Cordova was endorsed on the first ballot. Then over to Eden Prairie for the SD49 convention to see Dr Krish Subrahmanian earn the endorsement. (Note: my good friend Sen Steve Cwodzinski gave an incredible retirement speech to thunderous applause). Finally I’m here today in SD38 in Brooklyn Park to support my colleague Sen. Susan Pha. Our DFL campaigns are going to lift candidates up and down the ballot in November!

Grateful for the endorsement of delegates at this morning’s DFL convention in North Mankato. Congratulations to my teammates Leah Hanson for Minnesota House and Frederick for MN House District 18B on their endorsements as well. Btw the # delegate count today was 113 - it wasn’t long ago that we 18 delegates total at this same event. Just saying; the energy is real and people are fired up!

Thank you to all the Senate District 18 DFL committee leadership, delegates and volunteers for your service. We are thankful for these endorsements and will work hard and try to make you all glad!
