DAV Chapter 10 Lyle C Pearson Sr, Mankato DAV is a nonprofit charity that provides a lifetime of support for veterans of all generations. Lyle C. Pearson, Sr. Auxiliary unit #10 is very active.

"We are dedicated to a single purpose: empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity." Chapter 10 DAV meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm at VFW Post 950, 1900 N Riverfront Dr., Mankato. If you have questions, please call 507-625-7613. Supper is served on meeting nights at 6:00 pm. Cost is $5.00 for members who attend the meetings and $11.50 for non-members. Minnesota has several state benefits available to eligible Veterans, disabled Veterans, and surviving family members, but too many people do not know what is out there. We hear from Veterans regularly who have missed YEARS of valuable state benefits because they don't know they exist!

A few major benefits include property tax relief, vehicle-related fee and tax exemptions, state park permits, hunting and fishing benefits, education programs, and other assistance.

Eligibility rules vary, so this is only a starting point. If you have questions or need help applying, contact your County Veterans Service Officer, the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, or DAV Minnesota.

Dav Chapter 10 is saddened to hear of the passing of oldest member Dennis Boldt at the age of 101. Dennis was a veteran of the D-day invasion during World War II. Henry “Hank” Harvey Sadler was a long time member and treasurer of Chapter 10 DAV MN. Hank had a big impact to veterans in the area as the Nicollet County Veterans Service Officer. Hank was also Department Commander for DAV MN two times. It was a pleasure to have Hank as a member and leader.
