πŸŽ“ Congratulations to Dalton Brunsing, one of the student commencement speakers for the College of Humanities & Social Sciences on Friday, May 8th!

Originally from Norfolk, Nebraska, he began his journey at MSU as an undecided student before discovering his passion for Geospatial Science through Dr. Mark Bowen, a soils geomorphologist, and he found a way to connect his primary interestβ€”agricultureβ€”with the study of geography 🌱

During his time at MSU, he supported graduate students with soils research for their thesis work and gained hands-on experience working alongside local farmers and ranchers throughout the growing season. These opportunities helped shape both his academic path and future goals.

Looking ahead, he plans to continue building his knowledge of soils and agriculture with the goal of one day running and operating his own farm. His commitment to learning and land stewardship reflects a deep dedication to making a meaningful impact in agriculture and beyond 🚜✨
