CPFD provides fire protection services within the boundaries of two subdivisions which comprise Crystal Park, a 2,200 acre private community set in the mountains above Manitou Springs, Colorado. Crystal Park has 360+ individual memberships/home sites, of which over 220 are developed sites. In coordination with El Paso County, the Department may also be called upon to respond to other private areas in the vicinity of the service area through mutual aid.

RED FLAG WARNING Today - June 17th - from 12:00PM to 9:00PM for higher elevations of Western El Paso County, which includes all of Crystal Park and Teller County. Relative humidity expected as lows as 5 percent with winds from the Northwest at 10 to 20 mph, with gusts to 35 mph. IMPACT: Fires will catch and spread quickly! Exercise extreme caution.

Shout out for a job well done Manitou Springs Fire Department ! CPFD was toned out at 01:53 hrs this morning to backfill MSFD station. Our outstanding partners were fully engaged on a single family house fire. House is a total loss, but everyone is safe and neighboring homes were completely protected!! Great job teammates !!

Certified 9 Crystal Park firefighters today. One, ‘Wally’ Walczak, qualified for his RED CARD certification! We now have four Red Card holders in CPFD!!
