Bullying Prevention Community Letter

October 6, 2026Dear Manistique Area Schools Community,I’ve been asked recently, “Do you have bullying in your schools?” I answered honestly, “Wherever people routinely gather, in face-to-face social circles or online, in groups, especially where the members are young people learning about themselves and about life, like in schools, there will always be a certain amount of bullying.” Young people, school-age kids, similar to adults, want to feel a sense of belonging. 🟢⚪ National Coaches Day – October 6 ⚪🟢

Today we celebrate the coaches who give their time, energy, and heart to our MAS student-athletes! From early morning practices to late-night game days, our coaches show up for our kids again and again, teaching them far more than skills and strategy.

They teach discipline. They teach teamwork. They teach our students how to push through hard moments, how to win with grace, and how to lose with dignity. They build confidence on the field, the court, and the track that carries into the classroom and into life.

To every coach at MAS: thank you for believing in our students, for investing in their growth, and for representing Emerald Pride with such dedication. Our student-athletes are lucky to have you in their corner.

Happy National Coaches Day! 💚🤍
