We are thrilled to partner with Little River Band of Ottawa Indians for some of our upcoming summer programming!
In turn, we wanted to share that they are offering a free youth summer program each week.
The program is geared towards ages 10 - 18 but youth under the age of 10 are welcome to attend; they just need to have an adult with them!

Junior paleontologists are invited to a big dig at First Street Beach! We'll search for dinosaur bones and try to assemble a full skeleton together. Can we find all the parts needed?

Dino Bones Beach Dig for Kids, June 2 at 5pm at First Street Beach, Manistee

Registration is required. This program is best suited for ages 6 and up. Attendees will receive a 3-D balsa-wood dinosaur-bone puzzle to keep! 🌱It's almost time for the 4th Annual Plant Swap at the Onekama Branch Library! We are partnering with the Portage Lake Garden Club to bring more plant joy into your life. Do you have extra plants to share? Bring them along! Otherwise, stop by to browse for some new plant babies:

The library invites you to participate in a county-wide co****le tournament: Game of Towns!

Residents are able to sign up based on the township they reside in. Teams of two will compete in a bracket style tournament to advance to the final and win a t-shirt and a chance to compete in the County Final Four Championship (July 16, 2026 at the Iron Fish Distillery). The Overall Winners will each receive a $50 gift card.
