A big thank you to our District 4 VFW members for stepping up and manning the Department of Kansas VFW booth at the Kansas State Fair!

Our presence at the fair gives us a great opportunity to connect with veterans, their families, and our fellow Kansans while sharing the VFW mission, programs and answering questions.

Many veterans assume they don’t qualify for VFW membership simply because they never served in a traditional “combat zone.” But eligibility is based on qualifying service—and many veterans are surprised to learn that a medal or campaign ribbon they earned makes them eligible.
