REVOLVER NEWS reports on the crash of the Amazon Prime Air Boeing-767 at MIA-Miami International airport on Sunday...
While this piece is mostly focused on the absence of "EMAS" installation(s) at the ends of the runways at MIA, the *second* embedded video reveals the primary culprit: Pilot Error, fundamentally the attempt to land a plane traveling *DOWNWIND* (i.e. with a tailwind) at far too great an approach speed, floating wa-a-ay down the length of the runway before finally touching down, thus guaranteeing the resulting over-run and crash. Downwind landings are all but forbidden in all but the most urgent emergency conditions, so is it possible that a traffic controller in the MIA tower has a share of the blame here for authorizing this ill-advised approach...??? 🙄🤨🤬
Miami, what were you thinking?
