Yesterday was a whirlwind of joy! My first MHS graduation as a board member. I felt so privileged and proud to celebrate all the graduates. It was especially meaningful to get to present diplomas to some students I have watched grow up and know personally ❤️ This historically large class of over 450 students has accomplished so much, including experiencing a global pandemic during their formative years. Congratulations to all the graduates and their families for this important accomplishment!

It was a BEAUTIFUL morning for absolute chaos! I joined my daughter’s class at Sunset Zoo. Along with multiple classes from USD 383 Early Learning, there were other area preschools and even students from Abilene taking advantage of the beautiful day! I love that our students get this opportunity to visit our zoo.

Also, a hearty congratulations to our seniors who are enjoying their LAST DAY at USD 383: Manhattan High School!
Can’t wait to celebrate you on Sunday!

As a parent of a student who sees the nurse every day, I can state for a fact that our school nurses are AMAZING! Kind, comforting, and knowledgeable!

Last night we went to celebrate our Manhattan Dazzling Blues Dance Team! These young women are amazing athletes and are inspirational to little dancers like my daughter. It was a great show and a beautiful send off for our two seniors ❤️

So excited to share this now that it is official! Make sure to take advantage of this program. It’s a great way to feed your kids and mix up your lunch routine. It’s also a great chance for incoming kindergartners to check out lunchrooms and school food!

This past Saturday I attended Little Apple Pride with my family. We've attended most years since its humble beginnings. When I ran for school board I repeatedly said that I was a candidate that would support ALL students, ALL families, and ALL constituents. I ended up walking next to some of our USD 383 students who are members of the GSA from Eisenhower and Anthony Middle Schools. While I'm not sharing their faces, I wanted you to see them. We're not talking about one or two students. Many students participate in GSA clubs across the country for many different reasons- their own identity, as an ally to friends, as an ally to family. These clubs meet a student need just like any other clubs do. I am glad these students feel comfortable and supported enough in our schools and in our community to stand up and be counted for what they believe. All students deserve to find or establish clubs that meet their needs. These students deserve the same support as students in any other affinity clubs- Asian Student Union, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Hispanic Student Union, etc.
ALL are welcome in USD 383.
