Huge thank you to this months Howie's Hero Patrick for your donation!!

Patrick McClurg is this month's Howie's Hero! πŸ¦Έβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’ͺ

Patrick is from Plainville, KS and drives the front loader truck for east-side Manhattan routes. His favorite thing about his job is seeing kids get excited when they see the trash truck coming! He loves Manhattan and the energy around town leading up to K-State game days.

He loves his family and describes them as his "foundation." His pet family consists of two dogs named Frant and Carlos, one cat named Sister Grace, and three finches. One thing that can instantly make his day better is no blocked dumpsters during pickups! πŸ₯³ A few of his favorite things are cookies, golf, and iced tea.

As a Howie's Hero, Patrick has the opportunity to donate $250 to an organization that is meaningful to him. He chose the Riley County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #17.

Thanks for all you do, Patrick! You are an asset to the Howie's team.

Let's hear it for Patrick! πŸ‘

Huge thank you to the American Legion and Daras Fast Lane for their donations to Cops N Kids!

We have reached our goal! Thank you to all the community members, local organizations and RileyCountyPD employees for their generous donations that have helped support this year's shopping event.

Cops N’ Kids has supported families in our community that cannot afford holiday presents for over 30 years. Each December a group of police officers, detectives, corrections officers, dispatchers, and police employees join forces to take area children shopping for presents.

Note: We are no longer accepting nominations for the shopping event. Families will be notified by mid December if they have been selected after we have completed our cross reference and letter writing processes.
