Last week our MBPD detectives conducted a local warrant sweep helping people take care of their outstanding warrants.

One subject still had an active warrant and received our version of a free Uber…a one-way, door to door ride straight to jail.

Friendly reminder warrants don’t disappear on their own.

MBPD SWAT Teams Up with LASD SEB for K9 Integration Training 🐾🚔

The Manhattan Beach Police Department SWAT team recently completed joint K9 integration training with our partners from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB).

This hands-on training sharpened coordination between our SWAT operators and K9 handler, building the seamless teamwork needed to stay mission ready for any challenge. From tactical drills to real-world scenarios, this training ensures our team is always prepared to protect our community.

A big thank you to LASD SEB for the strong partnership and outstanding training!

🚔 Manhattan Beach DUI Checkpoint Recap 🚔

Last night our officers conducted a DUI checkpoint in Manhattan Beach, in collaboration with our partner agencies to keep our roads safe.
Results:
• 3 DUI arrests
• Multiple traffic citations issued.

Thank you to everyone who complied and helped make our community safer. Driving impaired is never worth the risk to yourself, your family, or others on the road.

If you see something, say something. Together we can keep Manhattan Beach safe!

The Manhattan Beach Police Department will conduct a DUI and Driver’s License Checkpoint on Friday night (May 1st) within the City of Manhattan Beach.

Whether you’re enjoying a night out or heading home from the BeachLife Festival, a DUI is 100% preventable. Designate a sober driver or use a ride share service to get home safely. See a drunk driver? Call 9-1-1.

Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Today, April 24, 2026, MBPD detectives arrested an individual suspected in more than 45 vandalism incidents across the city over the past several months.
This arrest is the result of dedicated work by our detectives and patrol officers who refuse to let criminals make our community their playground.
