The work doesn’t stop at the Manhattan Beach city limits. 🌲

Our Deputy Fire Chief and one of our Division Chiefs are currently deployed to the MP18 Fire in Humboldt County, serving as Branch X Safety Officers with a statewide strike team.

Behind every wildfire response is a team focused on keeping firefighters safe, and that’s exactly the role they’re filling as the fire has grown to more than 7,000 acres.

Thank you for representing MBFD and serving wherever you’re needed. 🤝

New tools. Same mission. 🚒

Our crew spent the day putting battery-powered extrication tools through their paces to see if they’re the right fit for MBFD. Every piece of equipment has to earn its spot, and that starts with hands-on testing. 🔋

A big thank you to the Manhattan Beach CERT volunteers! 👏

Throughout the 6-Man Volleyball Tournament weekend, these dedicated volunteers were on the pier providing first aid assistance to players, spectators and visitors, helping keep one of Manhattan Beach’s biggest events safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Thank you for your commitment to serving our community. We appreciate all that you do! 💚

Training together, responding stronger 💪🚒

MBFD conducted a high-rise training drill with the Redondo Beach and El Segundo Fire Departments, sharpening skills, strengthening partnerships, and preparing for the challenges of complex emergencies.

MBFD recently replaced life rings at the Manhattan Beach Pier to help improve ocean safety.

With summer approaching, remember to swim near lifeguards, stay aware of ocean conditions, and always put safety first. Life rings are for emergency use only!
