On Friday, I was proudly a part of the unveiling of the Hometown Heroes Banner Program at Mary Jane Davies, honoring the brave men and women from our community who have served our country. This Town program ensures that the banners will stand proudly throughout our community as a tribute to the courageous men and women who selflessly served and sacrificed for our nation.

I am forever grateful to all veterans and active-duty service members who make our community proud every day. We thank each and every one of you every single day.

What a beautiful day it was for the Spring Plant Sale at Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson. It was great to see so many members of our community come out and support our beautiful garden and take part in this wonderful event. In addition to the plant sale, the Town of North Hempstead gave away free native tree seedlings! Thank you to everyone who came out and to all who helped make this event possible.

North Hempstead’s Memorial Day Commemoration and Fireworks Extravaganza is back and better than ever! Bring your friends and families down to North Hempstead Beach Park on Saturday, May 23 for a rousing celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary and a dynamic hometown tribute honoring America’s fallen heroes who lost their lives in defense of our democracy.

Gates open at 3 p.m. $10 parking fee per car...CASH ONLY!!! Check out the flyer for more details.

VETERANS can receive FREE PARKING PASSES. The passes can be picked up by showing your government-issued VA card or an active military ID at the following locations:
