The Town of North Hempstead invites you to a FREE Summer Solstice and World Yoga Day, yoga session at North Hempstead Beach Park on Friday, June 21st at 6pm. Yoga connects us with our own personal rhythms and enhances our awareness and ability to respond to wellness cues.
International Day of Yoga is celebrated on the Summer Solstice and is the longest day of the year. So please join us in the centuries-old tradition of celebrating the start of the summer season together!

North Hempstead's Asian American Festival will be held on Saturday, May 18 starting at 11:30 a.m. at North Hempstead Beach Park. The celebration will include live performances, food from local restaurants, and a wide variety of cultural activities. Additionally, there will be a market and food representing the countries of Afghanistan, China, India, Japan, Korea, Pakistan and the Philippines. We hope to see you at one of North Hempstead's most popular events of the year!

Have a new, furry friend? Come to the Town Clerk’s office to get your dog license. Why?
* NYS law requires that all dogs over the age of 4months be licensed.
* If your dog gets lost, you will be contacted when your dog is found.
* With a current dog license and rabies vaccination, dogs are welcome at the Town Dog Park areas.

I am honored to stand with my colleagues of the Town of North Hempstead, Town Board, Senator Jack Martins and Kyra’s Champions to support Kyra’s Law. The sombre gathering at the Pinwheels in the Park at Mary J. Davies Park is a testament to all that needs to be done in support of stronger laws against child abuse.

The Town Clerk’s Office is designated as a US Passport Acceptance Center. We accept and process passport application daily until 3:00pm. Please call the office at (516) 869-6311 or 311 to get your questions answered and make your appointment. We also take color passport photographs (2 identical 2x2”) for an additional fee of $10 per person.
