🚒💧The Mangum Fire Department will be conducting annual fire hydrant flushing, flow testing and inspection.

🚒💧This is a required annual test per ISO & NFPA rules. This testing helps to ensure the hydrants operate properly, tells us the flow rates in gallons per minute and flushes the lines to move sediment out of low areas for cleaner water.

🚒💧You may experience discoloration and intermediate low pressure as testing takes place.

Today, the members of the Mangum Fire Department honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, dedication, and selfless service will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything for our nation.

The burn ban for Greer County has been lifted. We ask that everyone reports any controlled burn they are going to conduct so we are not dispatched to a fire if we are not needed. If we are dispatched to a controlled burn that was not reported you will receive a bill for our response.

We have been figuring out how we are going to sticker our “New to us” Engine that we are getting to purchase. We are purchasing this truck with Grant money awarded to us and a portion of it will be funded with money we had previously budgeted for an Engine. We are extremely grateful for this new truck, that will help us serve our citizens for years to come. Our City Manager, Erma Mora, was able to get this grant for us and also helped with the design process of this new logo. We appreciate everyone’s support as we continue to strive to be the best Department this City has ever seen!
