Today, May 16, 2026 is our PEC meeting at 11am at St. John's Coffee house in Covington.

Today our PEC met. One of the items we discussed were the 5 State Constitutional ballot issues. Some issues where easy / no brainers, some were tough. Here is what we came up with in Summary form:
1-No:Add/Remove Unclassified employees by the legislators,
2-Yes:St. George School System enactment,
3-No:Repeal Certain Education Funds and Dedicate to Teachers' Retirement System,
4-Yes:Allow Parishes to Exempt Business Inventory from Property Tax,
5-No:Increase Judicial Retirement Age.
