Hey members! This is a reminder that our next St. Bernard Art Guild meeting will be held this Thursday, June 11th, at 6 PM at the St. Bernard Art Guild Studio (6707 St Claude Ave. Arabi, LA 70032). The studio is the first door on the left.

This will be a busy meeting! We will vote for Artist of the Season, elect officers for the 2026-2027 term, have a Paint Along Demonstration, and discuss the upcoming art show on June 13th.

For the demonstration, we are going to paint an apple using square brushes sizes anywhere from a 2 to a 1/2 inch, different manufacturers use different numbers for their sizes so a small, medium and large (1/2 inch largest) should work. Colors we will be using are Scarlet Red, Vermillion, or any other bright red. Yellow Ochre, Cadmium yellow, Burnt Sienna, White, Viridian or Sap Green. If you do not have these colors the three primaries will work as well, and Claire will have some extra paints. An easel may be used and this demo is for acrylics only. An 8x10 canvas is recommended, as this is the size Claire will be working on.

Members who wish to register their art early for the art show are welcome to bring their pieces to the meeting.
