The Manchester Fire Dept joins the entire fire service mourning the loss of a Rochdale County FD in the loss of of a FF today.

Today, we join the fire service family in mourning the loss of one of our brothers from the Rockdale County Fire Rescue.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the firefighter’s family, friends, and the entire department during this incredibly difficult time. The loss of a firefighter is felt far beyond the walls of a single station—it impacts the entire fire service community.

May we honor their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to serving others. Please keep everyone affected by this tragedy in your prayers as they navigate the days ahead.

Rest easy, brother. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. ❤️🚒

Anything to make our neighbors ( the library folks) happy.. especially when they say “if y’all won’t do it, we will get another fire department to do it”.. challenge accepted.. even if it’s twirling!!

First responders are tasked with saving lives everyday, every shift. Great job Officer Bullock!

Mission: Cross the road.

The challenge: Traffic.

The solution: Officer Bullock.

While on patrol, Officer Bullock spotted this turtle attempting to cross the roadway. To help keep both the turtle and motorists safe, she carefully assisted it across and released it on the side of the road in the direction it was traveling.

At the Manchester Police Department, we are committed to serving and protecting our entire community—including residents, visitors, and the wildlife that share our town.

Recently, the Manchester Fire Department received a grant thru the State of Georgia Criminal Justice Coordinating Council in the amount of $19,250 for the purchase of 5 sets of turnout gear.. This was a 100% grant, meaning there was no cost to the dept, City or Manchester residents.
