Qualifications: Executive Director shall:
• Have a bachelor's degree or higher degree from an accredited institution; or is a registered nurse; and
• Have a minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience in an organization that served individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities; and that includes experience in the ex*****on of the overall administration of an agency including:
o Development, implementation, and maintenance of the agency’s budget;
o Development, review, implementation, and revisions as needed of the organization’s policies and procedures; and
o Supervision of employees including conducting performance evaluations;
o Meet all personnel and training requirements;
o If providing professional oversight or supervision of employees, meet the supervisory qualifications specified for each service.
Responsibilities:
• Assure that all federal, state and local statues, laws and regulations are complied with at all times;
• Keep up-to-date on all changes of the laws and regulations as pertain to the business of Clay Community Foundations, LLC and assure that such changes are implemented;
• Read and adhere to agency policies and procedures;
• Lead the design, development and implementation of strategic plans for Clay Community Foundations, LLC;
• Meet with regulatory agents and agencies as necessary;
• Maintain responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the agency;
• Assure that the organization has a long-range strategy which achieves its mission in a consistent and timely progress;
• Provide leadership in developing program, organizational and financial plans with the Board of Directors and staff, and carry out plans and policies authorized by the board;
• Promote active and broad participation by volunteers in all areas of the organization's work;
• Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations; and
• Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field.
• See that the board is kept fully informed on the condition of the organization and all important factors influencing it;
• Publicize the activities of the organization, its programs and goals;
• Establish sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with community groups and organizations; and
• Represent the programs and point of view of the organization to agencies, organizations, and the general public.
• Be responsible for the recruitment, employment, and release of all personnel, both paid staff and volunteers;
• Ensure that job descriptions are developed, that regular performance evaluations are held, and that sound human resource practices are in place;
• See that an effective management team, with appropriate provision for succession, is in place.
• Encourage staff and volunteer development and education, and assist program staff in relating their specialized work to the total program of the organization; and
• Maintain a climate that attracts, keeps, and motivates a diverse staff of top quality people.
• Be responsible for developing and maintaining sound financial practices;
• Work with the staff and the Board of Directors in preparing a budget and see that the organization operates within budget guidelines; and
• Ensure that adequate funds are available to permit the organization to carry out its work.
• All other duties assigned by the Board of Directors of Clay Community Foundations, LLC.
