The function of the Coffee County Soil Conservation District is to take technical, financial and educational resources, and coordinate them so that they meet the needs of the local land user for conservation of soil, water and related resources. Science based technology is used to pr

The SCD is governed by an elected board of supervisors. The Coffee County Soil Conservation District (SCD) partners with the Natural Resources Conservation Service to work with private land owners every day to help protect our natural resources. The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture. NRCS staff is available in all 95 Tennessee counties to provide assistance to landowners through cost share programs that promote conservation of our natural resources.
