🚧 Traffic Advisory: Coffee County Central High School Graduation

On Friday, May 22, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., Coffee County Central High School will hold its graduation ceremony at Carden-Jarrell Field.

To ensure the safety of attendees, the Manchester Police Department will conduct traffic control starting at 5:00 p.m. and continuing until the conclusion of the event.

🚦Affected Areas:

McMinnville Highway (State Highway 55)
From Interstate Drive/I-24 Overpass (Exit 111) to the
intersection of McMinnville Highway & Hillsboro Blvd

I-24 Exit 111A will be closed
Exit 111B will be affected
Expect delays and consider using alternate routes if you are not attending the event

The Manchester Police Department has been made aware of an unknown individual impersonating a Manchester police officer and providing a correct badge number to residents. In a attempt to gain personal information.

This incident has been investigated and confirmed to NOT involve a Manchester Police Officer.

Please remember:

Do not provide personal or financial information over the phone.

If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be law enforcement, hang up and contact the police department directly using an official phone number.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

Manchester Police Department will be assisting with the Coffee County Central High School Parade of
Graduates.

Date: Monday, May 18, 2026
Parade Time: 6:00 PM
Traffic Impact: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Route Details:

• Departs from the high school heading East on McArthur Street.
• Left onto Hillsboro Boulevard, traveling north in the southbound lanes.
• Hillsboro Boulevard (US-41) CLOSED in both directions from McArthur Street to Spring Street.
• Circles downtown and returns to Highways 41 & 55.
• Left onto McMinnville Highway (Highway 55) to Coffee County Raider Academy.

The traffic light at Woodland St. @ Fort St. will be staffed and will allow traffic to and from the softball fields.

Reminder: Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and exercise caution in the area.

Join us in congratulating Kaylee Smartt, who was sworn in today as a Patrol Officer for Manchester Police Department. Kaylee is a Coffee County graduate who earned her Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration at Motlow State Community College. She then obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management and Homeland Security from Middle Tennessee State University. She is a recent self-sponsored graduate of the Cleveland State Law Enforcement Training Academy, where she received the Academic Excellence Award for the highest GPA in her class. Kaylee has served the City of Manchester for over seven years in Parks and Recreation and is excited to continue serving her community in this new role with the Manchester Police Department. Kaylee's mother, Alethia Rawn, is a former MPD SRO and a current SRO for Bedford County Sheriff's Department. Welcome to the team Officer Smartt.

Manchester PD was honored to keep with tradition and participate in the Special Olympics Torch Run today. MPD was well represented, along with staff from Tullahoma Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, District Attorneys Office, Franklin County Sheriffs Office and Coffee County Sheriffs Department. The 2026 Special Olympics is being held at Tullahoma High School and supports hundreds of athletes from our surrounding areas. Good luck to all of the athletes and we were honored to participate.

Manchester Police Department had a great time at Farm City Day this weekend! It was beautiful weather and an amazing turnout. Our officers got to meet some great folks and hand out some cool swag to hundreds of children. We are already looking forward to next year!
