🐾⚾️ PANTHERS WIN AGAIN! ⚾️🐾

This team never quits, and it showed again Tuesday night.

Trailing 6-2 entering the 5th inning, the Panthers erupted for 7 runs in the top half of the frame and held on for a thrilling 9-8 victory over the Frederick Flying Dogs!

Some big hits—and a few clutch hit-by-pitches (pictured below…)—helped fuel the comeback. The offense was led by Andrew Caccamisi and Bob Taylor, who each collected 3 hits, while Konner Bodmer added a pair of hits of his own.

On the mound, Devin Ryan earned his second win victory of the season (both vs Frederick) after 4 strong innings of work before handing the ball over to Joey Bodmer, who closed it out with a 3-inning save, striking out 3 batters, while also adding 2 RBI to the cause at the plate.

No rest for the weary! The Panthers stay on the road Thursday night as they take on the Hagerstown Braves at North Hagerstown High School.

🐾⚾️ WORTH THE WAIT! ⚾️🐾

The Panthers walked off Cashtown, winning 5-4, in a 12-inning thriller!

The winning run came home on a walk-off passed ball after Tyler Vonella worked a leadoff walk and came all the way around to score the game-winner.

On the mound, the Panthers got another outstanding effort from their pitching staff. Spencer Monroe allowed just 2 earned runs over the first 7 innings punching out 8. Joey Bodmer was dominant in relief, firing 5 scoreless innings, allowing only 2 hits, picking up the win and lowered his season-long ERA to 1.84 💪

At the plate, Ethan Brathuhn led the charge with 2 RBI and was one of four Panthers to record multiple hits. Kevin Burnham, Brady Brathuhn, and Joey Bodmer also turned in multi-hit performances.

Game 1 ended in a 10-3 loss, but the Panthers battled throughout. ‘The Kid’ Bob Taylor blasted a home run over the CF fence, while Konner Bodmer and Christian Zito each collected 2 hits. Evan Paul kept the Panthers within striking distance by pitching into the 6th inning.

A split on the day, but a gritty walk-off win to end it. That’s a good way to head into the week. 🐾🔥

🐾⚾️ The Panthers are off this week, but we’ll be back in action Sunday for a doubleheader at Christmas Tree Park against the Littlestown Dodgers. First pitch is set for 1PM. 👊

Sunday was a tough afternoon for the Panthers, suffering two losses to the Mason-Dixon Rebels.

Game 1 slipped away late in a 6-4 loss despite a strong effort on the mound from Spencer Monroe in his season debut, he allowed just 2 earned runs over 5.2 innings while striking out 7 (walking none!).

At the plate, Wade Groupp crushed a go-ahead 3-run homer in the 5th inning, while Bob Taylor continued to turn back the clock, racking up 3 hits in game 1. Kevin Burnham also picked up his first double of the season, driving in a run.

Game 2 was a tougher one, as defensive miscues really hurt the Panthers throughout the afternoon. One bright spot again was Bob Taylor, who stayed red hot and added 2 more hits, finishing the day an impressive 5-for-7 at the plate.🐾⚾️
