🚨🔥 Residential Structure Fire 🔥🚨

City of Manchester Fire Department along with mutual aid departments were dispatched at approximately 0500 hours to a reported residential structure fire. Upon arrival, heavy fire and smoke conditions were to be noted throughout the entirety of the residence. Due to a limited-access driveway, personnel were required to stretch several hundred feet of 1¾” attack line in order to access the structure and begin fire suppression efforts.

Crews initially made an aggressive offensive attack on the residence; however, due to rapid fire progression and concerns regarding the structural stability of the home, personnel were withdrawn from the structure and operations transitioned to a defensive strategy. Firefighters then focused efforts on protecting surrounding exposures and preventing additional extension.

City of Manchester Fire Department would like to thank Burning Springs Fire Department, Hacker Fire Department, and Fogertown Fire Department for their assistance and teamwork during this incident.
