Firefighters are always training & learning.
This past weekend we had 6 members (Donnie, Chase, Jim, Kevin, Eric & Stephen {Jr Member Trevor for support} attend classes in Gatlinburg - 1. Tactical Decision Making, 2. Making decisions using modern day smoke read & 3. Sizing up for success.

At 3:30am this morning Summitville Vol Fire was dispatched to a fully involved structure fire.
Crews worked hard to put out the fire quickly & is happy to report there were no injuries.
We want to send out again a huge thank you to those agencies who responded for mutual aid - we appreciate your teams…

At 11:58pm Summitville Volunteer Fire was dispatched to a structure fire & without hesitation members responded to take on the challenge. We are happy to report that thankfully no one was injured.

We would like to send a huge shout out to the New Union, Hillsboro & North Coffee Volunteer Fire Departments and the Coffee County Rescue Squad for their mutual aid assistance.

Great job by all members!

We are proud of all our members & those in surrounding organizations who continue to train hard every week to be there for their community members.
Interior firefighting, CPR, vehicle rescues & truck operations are just a few.
These are members who leave their families & jobs when the tones are tapped out, no matter the time of day or night!
May God continue to watch over all of us on every call so that everyone gets to go home safe.
