You are invited to join us for the launch of I’m Okay If You’re Okay: The Chris AuCoin Story—an evening dedicated to remembrance, connection, and raising awareness about su***de among Veterans, first responders, and their families.

Chris AuCoin’s parents, Brent and Paula AuCoin, will share their son’s story and the mission that grew from their profound loss. Together, we will honor Chris while creating space for honest conversations about mental health, su***de prevention, healing, and hope.
Veteran and first-responder service organizations, behavioral health professionals, peer-support providers, and community resources will be available throughout the evening.
This event addresses sensitive topics, including su***de and loss. Support professionals and crisis resources will be available on-site for anyone who may need them.
Please join us as we come together to remember Chris, support those who serve, and remind one another that no one has to navigate life’s most difficult moments alone.

Happy Birthday to our Army!

I got the below from a good friend and I thought I should share it:
June 14th. A day each year when I know that words are inadequate to the task.

If someone asked a historian to describe the impact of the Army upon American history...who knows where they would start? Lexington or Concord? We've had an Army since before we had a nation. And we'd all be here all night if they continued up to present day. (There are 190 battle streamers on the Army battle color!)
If we attempted a visual summary, we'd see pictures on youngsters meeting challenges in training, hardships endured and bravery shown in combat--on land and by aviators, the often unseen but invaluable contributions made by intell professionals and Foreign Area Officers, truly extraordinary feats done by Army Special Operators, and compassionate and skillful responses to massive civil disasters at home. We'd see the Corps of Engineers maintaining our waterways and ports. Add in the selfless, skilled service of the Army's medical community--from peacetime in CONUS...to the forward edge of a battlefield. How do you summarize all that?

And even if we could capture all the contributions of the panoply of talents in Army uniforms: that summary must also encompass the support faithfully given by Army spouses--holding families together, handling moves, clearing quarters, always believing and never giving up--even through multiple deployments!

What words can capture all that???

I admit that I can't.
But the task is to try. So, as an American citizen, the son of an Army infantryman, a Marine who has shared much of my career with Army Special Operations, and the father of an Army colonel who graduated from Carlisle a week ago:

To all my Army brothers and sisters, Happy Birthday and thank you for all that you have done for our nation for 250 years!

Today our chapter celebrated the US Army's 251st birthday with a brief ceremony in the Heritage Room of the NH National Guard in Concord. We were honored to have Governor Kelly Ayotte & MG David Mikolaities as keynotes for the ceremony. After a rousing rendition of the Army song 🎵, the birthday cake was cut by the traditional Army Sabre and enjoyed by all in attendance. Thank you also to the staff members Chris Scott, Justin Troiano and Patrick Carroll for providing letters marking the occasion from Sen Shaheen, Sen Hassan, and Cong Pappas respectively. Many thanks to all the chapter members who helped pull this together 🇺🇸
