Job Openings:

Part time:
We are accepting applications for the Coffee County Manchester Public Library. We have three part time positions to fill.
Must be available for evening shifts and Saturdays. Hours available 18-20 hours a week.
Please submit an application with the Human Resources department at Coffee County Administrative office or on the County website.

Children’s Librarian:
We are taking applications for the position of Children’s Librarian. This is a 40hr position. Bachelor's Degree is preferred and/or experience in children’s education or related fields. Benefits include insurance, vacation, and sick time. Salary to be discussed during interview process. Please submit an application with the Human Resources department at Coffee County Administrative office or on the County website.

Coffee County Maintenance Director Rick Soucy during the May 7 Capital Outlay Committee Meeting said that mold levels found inside the Coffee County Manchester Library were minimal.

We're hard at work preparing for the library to reopen!

Miss Polly is ordering books. Miss Connie is paying bills. Miss Catherine is working on Summer Reading and cataloging books. Miss Clarice is cataloging books. Miss Amber, Miss Gina, and Mr. Nathan are covering the books and getting them ready for checkout. Miss Gina is also preparing and running Storytime and Toddler Time!

1. If you have received an email about books being due/overdue, please disregard. We're still closed for maintenance. These emails are automated.

2. We do not currently have access to the Manchester Library building. Anything currently in the book drop cannot be checked in. Any holds will be coming from Lannom.

3. Any Manchester items that were checked out after February 1, 2026, should now have a due date of May 30, 2026. We'll be adjusting due dates and/or backdating check in dates as necessary to make sure nothing has a final due date during the closure. Please keep your books until we reopen.

4. Any Manchester library cards that were set to expire between February 1, 2026, and April 30, 2026, should now have an expiration date of May 30, 2026. Please call Lannom if you would like to renew your library card. [931-455-2460]

5. Miss Gina will be leading Storytime at the Coffee County Administrative Plaza on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10am. Wednesday Storytime (pre-K) will be in the Community Room. Thursday Toddler Time will be in the Main Lobby. The books and activities will be targeted to these age groups, but all ages are welcome.

6. If you are called for a hold at Manchester, you can check it out at the Coffee County Mayor’s Office Monday-Friday, 9am-2pm [1329 McArthur Street, Suite 1; Manchester, TN 37355]

Beginning Monday, May 4, if you are called to pick up a hold from the Manchester Library, you can check it out at the Coffee County Mayor's Office, Monday-Friday, 9am-2pm.

This will continue until we reopen.

The Mayor's Office is in the Coffee County Administrative Plaza at 1329 McArthur Street, Suite 1, Manchester, TN 37355.

Miss Gina will be leading Storytime every Wednesday and Thursday at 10am at the Administrative Plaza until we reopen. On Wednesdays we will meet in the Community Room, and on Thursdays we will meet in the Main Lobby.
