Day 5, last day. Camp has come and gone and we have enjoyed every minute we got to spend with these Cadets.

We played kickball outside until the rain ran us in for the championship game.

New Union Rebels won the championship again this year so they hold onto the trophy for another year.

We had a few awards given out as well.

Our “Leadership Award” goes to the Senior Cadet that showed the most outstanding leadership through the year and at camp.

Sadie Trail won this award and she was most deserving.

Greyson Hawkins was a close 2nd to Sadie so he also received an award for his conduct and outstanding leadership skills.

Yohelis Cruz won the “Cadet of the Year Award”. This award is given to the Cadet that showed up and showed the most impressive attitude and leadership as a younger Cadet.

Emmy West, Bentley McFadden and Cadence Leverton won a Conduct Award. This award was voted on by the Senior Cadets.

Marlee Wimley won a Dedication Award for her continuing support and dedication to our program.

We enjoyed each and every cadet and will miss them this summer.

Until next year…….

Day 4 was LAKE WINNIE day!!!

We survived and so did the cadets!!

They had a good day full of rides and water.

We didn’t take pictures at the water park just out of respect for our kiddos.

I’m sure they are tired and ready to end the week with our kickball tournament.

Tomorrow will be the last day we get with these amazing boys and girls.

Be ready!!!

Day 2 of Cadet Camp is done. The rain didn’t stop us too much.

We traveled to Columbia to the famous Tenn Pin Alley.

The Cadets got to enjoy some bowling, bumper cars & Laser tag.

The rain did cause some problems when we went to the outdoor activities of Putt Putt Golf and Go Carts. Some got to enjoy and the rain kept some from being able to.

Let hope the rain holds off tomorrow for our outdoor activities!!

Day 1 of our Cadet Camp has come to a close.

We started out at Oldham theater watching the classic movie Sandlot.

Then we walked down to Jefferson’s where we had the best servers in the business, Kenzie and Jenny. We appreciate the hospitality girls.

We ended the day with a tour of the Coffee County Jail and a small birthday party for our very own Lt Jason Dendy.

We appreciate every cadet for spending their holiday with us and can’t wait to continue camp tomorrow.

In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15 falls, as National Police Week. Established by a joint resolution of Congress in 1962, National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.

The Coffee County Sheriff’s Department lost Deputy Ben McCullough on Saturday, August 10, 1935. Deputy McCullough was killed by an inmate working on a work gang. Today we honor Deputy McCullough and all officers killed in the line of duty.

We also want to thank all the deputies that have been injured in the line of duty. Your sacrifice to protecting our citizens is greatly appreciated.
