White Beach

White Beach Hard-packed sand beach facing southwest into Massachusetts Bay with views of the Boston skyline. White Beach is public beach in Manchester, MA.

Originally settled in 1623-24 by men of the Dorchester Company the predecessor to the Massachusetts Bay Colony. First mention in the surviving records of the Town of Manchester as the "beach on the way to Crow Island" it was leased out off and on during the early years of the town's history. The first reference to the name White Beach is noted in the records as "the White Beach Pasture" use in a description of land being granted by the town.
