Introducing Rosie's Girls, a brand new program at the library! Starting Tuesday, September 8th, join us after school in the Craft Room to learn how to build with your own two hands. Think bookshelves, birdhouses, planters, and more!

Made possible through a grant from Vermont Works for Women, each weekly session includes an introduction to nontraditional careers for women and gender-nonconforming individuals by local welders, builders, and tradeswomen, followed by hands-on instruction in STEAM skills and trades with Paige and Carson.

• Tuesdays, 3:30–5:00 PM for 10 weeks
• Manchester Community Library Craft Room
⚠️ Spots are extremely limited! Registration is required, and participants should plan to commit to all 10 sessions.

Rosie's Girls welcomes anyone who identifies as a girl regardless of assignment at birth, as well as non-binary and gender-expansive youth who are comfortable in a girl-centered space.

Don't miss this unique opportunity, register now at https://mclvt.org/stec_event/rosies-girls/

What a meaningful way to bring a community together: to truly see one another, share a laugh, listen with care, and treat every neighbor with respect and dignity.

Vermont has been that kind of place for our team: a place where we have felt welcome and can give something meaningful back. I am incredibly proud of our ArtLords team and partners for continuing to create spaces where neighbors of all ages can gather, paint side by side, and transform an ordinary wall into a shared expression of joy, belonging, and hope.

This, too, is the story of America: people from different backgrounds choosing connection over division, creating together, and reminding one another that we belong to the same community. It may not be the story we hear often enough, but it is the America we have witnessed, and the America worth building.

Come paint with us! It may have rained on our paint parade in July, but the ArtLords are back and ready to help us repaint our fence mural this week. Stop by on Friday or Saturday between 10 am and 5 pm to help us create a work of public art celebrating literature as a shared point of connection across cultures and experiences.
