Bond work continues! The roof and plumbing are going in the baseball concession building. Lockers have been moved in the middle school prepping the way for work to begin during winter break!

With the school year well under way we wanted to give you an update and let you know the elementary bond projects are progressing nicely! We only have six more classrooms to go – three in November and three in December! We are so pleased the elementary work is on schedule and will be completed the first part of January. In addition to all the fabulous changes happening in the elementary school, site work has begun at the baseball and softball fields. You'll find we will have new concession and bathroom buildings adding a much needed resource to our fields. We're excited to begin the middle school projects in the spring of 2024. High school projects are also scheduled for late summer 2024. Again, we want to express our gratitude to our community for making this project possible. Our students are reaping the benefits of your YES vote!

It's been a few days since we have updated and lots of great things have been happening! We have new floors, cabinets, sinks, shelves, white boards, walk-in freezer, stage floor, digital thermostats and stripes on our parking lot. Staff have been working to move classrooms back as construction finishes in an area. We are so excited to have students back on September 5th and are anxious to see their reaction to the improvements on their school!

Lots of things happen in 24 hours at Mancelona Schools! The cabinets were delivered and now being installed. The parking lot asphalt is going down while the basketball goals are being set on the high school upper lot and the elementary playground. Stay tuned for more updates!
